New York, NY

At this West 19th Street brownstone, I led the full design and coordination of a custom aluminum planter that forms the centerpiece of the master bedroom atrium. The planter was shaped to fit the space perfectly—about 3’ high at its peak and tapering down to 4” along a dramatic curve wrapping the shower area. The installation features a focal specimen tree, layered planting, custom drain extensions, and beach stone detailing.

The planter and plant materials were craned to the 6th floor using a knuckle boom, an operation I coordinated.

Additionally, I designed a series of roof parapet planters with a custom skirt system to sit cleanly on the parapets. On the north side, I developed a wire-mesh fence system integrated into the planters to meet fall-protection needs, with ivy planted to grow through the mesh. The remaining parapet planters were fully planted and detailed to unify the rooftop space.
