During this research, I was tasked with understanding the inner workings of a Ender 3 3D printer in order to cultivate an instrumental understanding of how the system works and to use this understanding to speculate each system’s architectural affordances. This practice required me to dismantle the systems and breakdown their code to produce and push the limits of “primitive” prints. I utilized Grasshopper to create g-code from scratch to be sent to the 3D printer.
