After a thorough research phase, involving the development and utilization of our pneumatic extruder, I embarked on an innovative experiment centered around the concept of “part to whole” architectural facade systems. Leveraging an inflatable pad, we harnessed the precision of our ABB robotic arm to craft a 6×6 perforated panel design aimed at enhancing buildings’ solar gain during winter and cooling efficiency in the summer. This endeavor was informed by solar analysis conducted with Ladybug. The final result was a designed individual panel that, when integrated, culminated in a cohesive and efficient facade structure.
