During this project I explored, analyzed and diagramed the appearances of flora and fauna found in Arizona to gain insights into history, climate, landscape, and the built environment. I utilized mapping techniques to uncover new perspectives on the site and context. Applying Corner’s concepts of ‘Drift, Layering, Game-board, and Rhizome,’ I began by mapping the diverse flora and fauna in Arizona, pinpointing their geographic distribution. From this data, I created intensity maps to reveal overlapping habitats. Using Grasshopper, I translated these findings into three-dimensional organic structures that visually represented my discoveries.
